Smooth Feed One of the major problems the current generation 3D printers are trying to battle is the filament feed. Most of the manufactures use a NEMA 17 motor with a torque of 0.4Nm with printed gears to limit the chances of the filament getting stuck. Cyrus comes packed with a small metal geared stepper motor with a torque of 1.0Nm. No more jams and failed prints. Heated Bed One of the most unique aspects of the printer is its bed. The heated bed makes sure the print sticks well to it and does not come of during the print. This also means you can print more challenging materials like ABS which is prone to crack. With a thickness of almost 1cm, leveling the bed has never been so easy and consistent. Print Quality The high precision ballscrew used in the Z axis together with a stiff and consistent flat bed offers the user high quality prints. Most FFF printers are comfortable with 200 micron layer height. The Cyrus 3D printer can print up to 20 micron. Most users will settle somewhere in between as the higher the quality, the longer the print-time will be, this is something that a lot of companies fail to address to future users. It is advisable to print the "draft" at low quality and when you are happy with your design, set the settings to high quality. Silent operation The printer does not only offer high quality prints at great printing speed, it does so at low noise levels. At only 47dB, it is arguable one of the most silent printer in the market. Whether you place it in your office or living room, the noise levels will never exceed that of a normal paper printer.
